An American actress born on the 8th of July 1911 in New York, USA, aboard a ship where her Swedish father and Russian mother returned to the USA from a vacation in Europe. She began singing on stage during the early 1930's. She was known as a theater comedy queen in Follow the Girls and Rookies on Parade (1941). She died on March 27, 1975 in Hollywood, California.
