An Italian director, actress, and screenwriter. She studied architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan. She began her artistic career through acting, and then moved to New York State, in the United States. She appeared in the movie Bad, directed by Andy Warhol. She also wrote and directed the film Lontano da dove, which was shown at the Venice Film Festival in 1983. In 1997, she wrote and directed the film Un Paradiso di Bugie, for which she received two nominations for the David di Donatello Film Award.
