Morris Ankrum was born in Danville, Illinois, on August 28, 1897 as Morris Winslow Ankrus and died in Pasadena, California, on September 2, 1964 of Trichinella disease. Maurice Ankrum is famous for her appearance in: Tennessee Johnson (1942), In a Lonely Place (1950), Rocketship XM (1950), and The Giant Claw (1957). Maurice Ankrum is an American film, theater, radio and television actor. He graduated from the University of Southern California, School of Law, then joined the Drama Department at the University of Southern California. Berkeley. He studied acting and directing, and trained at the Pasadena Playhouse. During the period from 1923 to 1939 he presented many plays on Broadway, and in the early thirties he presented his cinematic debut, in the role of a musician with John Barrymore Reunion in Vienna (1933).
