An American actress who was born on March 13, 1914, Dallas, Texas. Her father immigrated from Switzerland, and settled in Demopolis, western Alabama, where he ran a grocery store. Her parents moved from Alabama to Dallas, Texas, before she was born. She graduated from Southern Methodist University. She made her debut in 1938 through the movie Girls' School, and she is famous for acting in the movies A Desperate Adventure (1939), The Stranger on the Third Floor (1940), The Devil Pays Off (1941), It Started with Eve (1941). She died on May 3, 1991 in Los Angeles Los Angeles, California, of cancer.
