Ed Begley is an American actor who was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on March 25, 1901 as Edward James Begley and died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on April 28, 1970. Ed Begley won an Academy Award in 1963 for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film Sweet Bird of Youth (1962), and was nominated for a Golden Globes Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, a Grammy and Golden Laurel Awards. Ed Begley is famous for acting in It Happens Every Spring (1949), 12 Angry Men (1957), and Hang Em High (1968).
