She is a Cape Verdean actress, born in 1966 in Cabo Verde. She is known for Vitalina Varela (2019) and Horse Money (2014). Among her several awards and nominations, she won Best Actress at the Locarno International Film Festival for her role in Vitalina Varela (2019). She was married to Joaquin Varela, with whom she had two children.
