A German actress, born on May 3, 1960 in Neuwied, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. She grew up in a family of doctors who temporarily ran a private practice in Hausen an der Wied. She first studied photo design at the Fachhochschule Dortmund - University of Applied Sciences and Arts and worked as a theater photographer for Claus Peymann in Bochum. She then completed her acting training at the Berlin University of the Arts from 1984 to 1987. She has performed in many famous theaters and opera houses. Among her credits are Sources of Life (2013), The Reader (2008) and Tatort (1970).
