Syrian journalist, director and activist. She produced her documentary For Sama (2019). It was nominated for four BAFTA Awards at the British Academy Film Awards and won Best Documentary Feature, and was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary at the 92nd Academy Awards.
