An American actor, born in New York City, on August 10, 1913 as Noah Wilber Beery. Noah was nominated for three Primetime Emmy awards for the series The Rockford Files (1974–1980), and was awarded a Golden Boot in 1990 and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his television activity. Noah was married twice and had 3 children. He's known for Only Angels Have Wings (1939), Red River (1948) and Inherit the Wind (1960). He died on November 1, 1994, of a cerebral thrombosis, at age 81.
