A Tanzanian-Canadian actress and singer, born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Rachel and her family immigrated to Canada and settled in Toronto. As a child in Toronto, Rachel studied piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music and ballet at the Academy of Russian Classical Ballet. She made her film debut while still in high school, playing the role of Billy Dee Williams' daughter in the TV movie Courage (1986). Her other works include House (1995), Impostor (2001), and Street Legal (1987).
