An Egyptian lyricist, he wrote several monologues for Mahmoud Shoukoko. He has also written several radio series for Radio Alexandria, including "Hamido" and "Napoleon's Treasure". He wrote a song for the Darawesh Band which was in the film Ismail Yassine Tarzan ( 1958). El Kamshoushy wrote the first song in the history of Alexandria Radio, "We Are the Free People", and wrote about Arab nationalism with zajal.
