American actor, born in Los Angeles, California, on August 6, 1881. He married Edith Shakespeare (1905-1953) and had a daughter (Marie Antoinette), who remained with him until her death. He's known for 20 Mule Team (1940), The Guilty Generation (1931) and The Gay Amigo (1949). He died of cancer in Santa Monica at the age of 80.
