British writer and actor, born on May 30, 1932, in London. He won the Lawrence Oliver Theater Award for Best Comedy for Out of Order in 1991. He got married to actress Linda Dixon, and they have two children. His most famous works include: Not Now Darling (1973), Not Now, Comrade (1976), and Run for Your Wife (2012).
