An American actress, born in Chicago, Illinois on April 21, 1963. She attended Stanford University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Biology in 1985. She also attended UCLA and got a master's degree in acting. Her role as Laurie Manning in the TV series Ellen (1994) was her first major break. She is known for Popular (1999-2001), Gods and Monsters (1998), and Assisted Living (2018).
