English actress, born in London, England. She studied at the Bouffement School in France, speaks fluent French, and began her artistic career in 1946. She moved to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in cinema. She is known for Jean's Plan (1946), Wuthering Heights (1948), The Looking Glass War (1970), and Pride and Prejudice (1967).
