She is a French actress, born on April 4, 1927, in Paris, France. Her sister is François Chaumette, sister-in-law of Paloma Matta. She has appeared in more than 40 productions since 1958. She launched her acting career on the national stage. She is known for her roles in Une rébellion à Romans (1984), La veuve Couderc (1971), and Compartiment tueurs (1965). She was married to the director Philippe Noiret, in whose films she appeared.
