An Iraqi actor, born in Baghdad. His father is actor and writer Qahtan Zaghir. He studied theater and theater directing at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and obtained a diploma in theater directing. He then studied directing at the College of Fine Arts in Baghdad and obtained a bachelor’s degree in the philosophy of theater directing from the University of Baghdad. He obtained a master’s degree in the philosophy of theater directing and was able to leave an influential mark in Iraqi drama after his success in embodying complex characters in more than one television series. He was also active on stage in terms of acting and directing. Among his most important works are the series Echo of the Past (2010), Driving the Stuta (2011), El Marot (2023), and Dijlah and Furat (2021).
