An American actress, born in Florida, USA, to Indian computer engineer parents. She moved to San Francisco with her family at the age of eight, where she studied neurobiology at the University of California, Berkeley, but turned to acting, obtaining a master's degree in acting from Columbia University. She began her artistic career in theater before moving to television with leading roles in comedy series. She is famous for the series Black Box (2014), Weird Loners (2015), and This Is Us (2016).
