She is an Australian actress, born on June 23, 1964 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. She graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1987 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Australian history and English from the Australian National University. She is known for Strictly Ballroom (1992), Dance Academy (2010-2013), and Oranges and Sunshine (2010).
