American actor, producer, and writer born in Nyack, New York, on July 14, 1903. He received a special Academy Award in 1947, and also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Murray was married three times and had four children. He's known for Follow Me, Boys! (1966), The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962), and Bill and Coo (1948). In 1950, he hosted his own television show, and appeared in many television series. In 1979 he assembled the footage of his home movies about Hollywood celebrities in a compilation film entitled Ken Murray's Shooting Stars. He passed away in 1988, at age 85.
