An American actress born in Winfield, Kansas, on September 27, 1923. She started acting when she was a child, and later on she worked as stage actress in plays, including Anna Christie, which earned her a Tony nomination in 1977. She's known for Babes in Toyland (1961), All That Jazz (1979), The French Line (1953), and the TV series Trapper John, M.D. (1979-1980). She died in Los Angeles, California, on April 30, 1980, at age 56.
