An Iraqi author, he published his first collection of short stories "Colored Balls", then his second collection "White Butterflies". He won the first prize in 1993 for the Best Theatrical Script Award for his play "Wait for Me, Years". He wrote and directed several documentaries, including "History Thieves" for Al Sharqiya Channel.
