An American politician, born on 27 August 1908 in Stonewall, Texas, US. He served as the 36th president of the United States of America from 1963 to 1969. He began his career as a high school teacher after graduating from Texas State University. However, he quit in favor of working in politics during the Great Depression. He joined the United States Senate, representing Texas, in 1949. He appeared as himself in The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara (2003). He died of a heart attack on 22 January 1973.
