William Hartnell was a British actor who was born in St Pancras, London, England, on January 8, 1908 as William Henry Hartnell and died in Marden, Kent, England, on April 23, 1975, following several strokes William Hartnell's most important roles are in Escape (1948), The Ringer (1952), Carry on Sergeant (1958), and Doctor Who (1963-1984).
