Leslie Phillips is a British actor who was born in Tottenham, London, England, on April 20, 1924, as Leslie Samuel Phillips. He studied at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. He was nominated for a BAFTA Award in 2007 for Best Supporting Actor for the 2006 film Venus and won the BIF Award for the same film, as well as the ESBF Award in 1997 and the LCCF Award in 2007. Leslie Phillips is best known for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), and Venus (2006).
