American actor, born in Michigan City, Indiana, on August 20, 1906. Charles had three children and four grandchildren. He's known for Sudan (1945), Dangerous Intruder (1945) and The Great Gildersleeve (1942). After he retired from acting in 1962, he began importing and breeding Charolais cattle at his ranch on Orcas Island. Arnt died in 1990 of liver and pancreatic cancer, at age 84.
