An American actor, director and producer, born in Grassville, Minnesota, on July 17, 1887. Jack received a special award from the Venice Film Festival for the movie Viva Villa! (1934), and he also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. He started his career as an actor in 1909, after which he turned to directing in 1913. He's known for The Girl from Missouri (1934), The Smart Set (1928) and The Roughneck (1924). He was married two times and had four children. Conway retired in 1948 and died four years later of pulmonary disease, at age 65.
