An Italian writer, born on April 5, 1943, in Naples, Italy. She wrote numerous novels, including the four-volume work titled "Neapolitan Novels," which received Strega Prize nominations. She is known for The Lost Daughter (2021), My Brilliant Friend (2018-2022), and L'amore molesto (1995).
