Austrian director and writer, born in 1976 in Eisenstadt, Austria. She graduated from high school in Texas, USA. In 1995/1996, she studied English and journalism at the University of Vienna. From 1998 to 2008, she completed a degree in directing at the Film Academy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She has been working as an independent director and writer since 2002. She is a member of the Austrian Film Academy. She is best known for Barbarians (2020), West of Liberty (2019), and Thank You for Bombing (2015).
