Canadian actress, director, and writer, born on October 25, 1962, in Ottawa, Canada. She was raised in both the United States and Canada. She made her debut in 1985. She received a B.F.A. Degree in Performance from York University in Toronto. She appeared on the stage, radio, in movies, and in series in Canada and the United States. She is known for The L Word (2004-2009), Stargate SG-1 (1999-2003), and When Sparks Fly (2014).
