A Palestinian political leader, born in the city of Jerusalem to a merchant father named Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa and a mother named Zahwa Abul Saud. Arafat spent his childhood steps away from the the Buraq Wall, participating in anti-British demonstrations in Egypt. He completed his university studies and graduated as a civil engineer. He appeared in many documentaries, including Naila and the Uprising. He died on November 11, 2004, in Clamart, France.
