A British actress, born in Hackney, London, England, United Kingdom. She enjoyed enormous success in films such as Spring in Park Lane (1948) and It's Hard to Be Good (1948). She is known for appearing in The Inheritance (1950), The Six Proud Walkers (1962), The Forsyte Saga (1967), I Start Counting (1970) and the television series Emmerdale Farm (1984). She died on May 28, 1998, of a heart attack.
