• An American journalist, playwright, screenwriter, and producer, born in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. His family moved to Winthrop, Massachusetts when Norman was thirteen....Read more He graduated from Winthrop High School, but unlike his siblings, he did not attend college. Because of his interest in writing, he sought a career in journalism and was eventually hired by the Greenfield Recorder newspaper, and worked as a reporter when he was seventeen years old, reporting on the courts. He was also a film critic, writer, director and producer for CBS, and served as head of special projects for the radio division of the United Nations. Among the awards he won was a Peabody Award. He's known for Lust for Life, No Place to Hide, and The Naked Maja. He died on October 18, 2011.
