A Syrian actress, born in the United Kingdom and raised in Syria. Drawn to the arts at an early age, she studied classical piano and eventually earned a degree in music from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus before finishing high school. After graduating from high school, she was accepted into the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus. She graduated with honors with a BA in Performing Arts and received an invitation to participate in the Festival d'Avignon, France, representing Syria. She has worked with some of the biggest stars in Syria and the Middle East and won the Best Leading Actress award at the 2011 New York City International Film Festival. Her most important works include Bloodless (2014) and Three Veils (2011).
