Canadian/American actress, born on January 17, 1925, in Canada. At the age of eight, she moved to England, where she participated in a number of plays. Later, she was spotted by an executive working at 20th Century Studios, who offered her a contract. In 1956, she went to Hollywood and there she met Sy Bartlett. Warner Bros. spotted her acting abilities in the movie Island in the Sun. She appeared in about 40 films from 1943 to 1968. She is known for The Fly (1958), Island in the Sun (1957), and Mystery Junction (1951). She died on August 31, 2000, in the United States.
