German actress, born in Dusseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.She studied acting, and thanks to Austrian director Max Reinhardt's productions, she had her theatrical debut in Berlin. Not long after, she worked with the same director on Die Insel der Seligen (1913), her debut movie, and participated in Nosferatu (1922).
