A former Scottish football player and coach, who is considered one of the best players in the history of Liverpool FC. He was appointed a Knight Bachelor in the 2018 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to football. He started his football career with Celtic FC in 1969, and he played with them until 1977 when he moved to the English club Liverpool, and he played with them until 1990. He played with the Scotland national football team in the FIFA World Cup in 1974, 1978, and 1982, and he played with the national team in 102 matches and scored 30 goals. He managed many clubs including Liverpool from 1985 to 1991. His credits include Will (2011) and Being: Liverpool (2012).
