An American lawyer, born in New York and raised in Port Washington, New York, USA. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Yale University. He specialized in economics and American studies and obtained a doctorate in law from the University of California. He gained media attention while serving on NFL player O. J. Simpson's defense team, collectively called the "Dream Team," and participating in the highly publicized murder case. He appeared in the documentary O.J.: Made in America (2016) about the incident.
