In 1906, he emigrated to the United States, and in 1909, while working as a trolley conductor, he launched his career in the film industry. Lehrman started L-KO (Lehrman...Read more Knock-Out) Pictures on his own, producing two-reel comedies for release by Universal. By 1917, he was directing the Sunshine comedies for Fox, where he worked. He retired from acting in 1916 to devote himself to directing and producing. He is known for Why Sailors Go Wrong (1928), Reported Missing (1922), and On Time (1924). He passed away on November 7, 1946, in Hollywood, California, USA, of heart failure.
