An American actress, voice actress, director, singer, and songwriter. She was born in New Jersey, USA, and holds a Master of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University. She won the 2007 Anime America Award for Best Actress for her role in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2002-2005), and won the 2008 SPJA Award for Best Director for her work on Naruto.
