He is an Iranian writer and director, born on November 25, 1976, in Tehran, Iran. He got his bachelor's degree in theater from the College of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran and his master's in dramatic literature from Tarbiat Modares University. During his many years of work, he has also been on the selection and judging committees of a number of film festivals. He is known for A Walk in the Fog (2010), The Lost Strait (2018), and Barefoot in Paradise (2007). He received the Crystal Simorgh Award for Best First Film for Pa berahne dar behesht (2007).
