Indian film, television, and stage actress, born on July 7, 1938, in India. She was considered one of the finest theater and film actresses of her time. She made her debut in 1957. She is known for Baghavat (1982), Suhag Sindoor (1961), and Naram Garam (1981). She died on 12 September 1996, in Pune, due to a road accident.
