She is an American actress and voice actress, born on February 17, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. At a young age, she started her career by dancing with her parents in a vaudeville act. She studied at the University of California, Los Angeles. She began her career in repertory theaters and stock companies, and she was a founding member of the El Centro Theatre. Her screen debut was in Annie Was a Wonder (1949). Among her notable works are The Blues Brothers (1980), Innerspace (1987), and Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994). Before she passed away, she was working on Broadway in a production of "The Full Monty." She died on August 23, 2001, in New York, USA, from lung cancer.
