A Croatian actress, born on February 28, 1976, in Vranje, Serbia, to a Serbian mother and a Croatian father. She spent her early childhood in Serbia. When Ivana was six years old, her family moved to Split, Croatia. She began acting as a child and joined a youth drama group. After she finished high school, she traveled to London to study acting, enrolling at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Ivana Basic participated in the BBC medical drama Casualty.
