An Iranian philosopher, leading intellectual reformer, and professor of Islamic studies, who has been a political dissident, an outspoken critic of clerical rule, and a strong advocate of democratic, liberal, and structural reforms in Iran. He spent time in prison in Iran for his political activism and beliefs. He's known for The Green Wave (2010).
