She is an American writer, born on December 5, 1978, in Philadelphia, USA. She majored in creative writing at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts. She also graduated with a medical anthropology degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She is known for Scrubs (2006-2009), Mixed-ish (2019-2021), and Bigger (2019).
