A Portuguese actress, born in Lisbon, Portugal. Her father is the writer José Osório de Castro e Oliveira and her mother is the writer Raquel Bastos. She made her debut in the film Ladrão, Precisa-se! (1946). She also appeared in some Spanish films including Bajo el cielo de Asturias (1951), El sistema Pelegrín (1952), and La montaña sin ley (1953). She also appeared in several Portuguese films including Francisca (1981), O Desejado (1987), and Tempos Difíceis (1988). In the mid-1990s, she appeared in several films such as La leyenda de Balthasar el Castrado (1996) and Ilhéu da Contenda (1996). She appeared in about 50 films and appeared in theater and television. She died on November 23, 2005, in Borba, Évora, Portugal, from cancer.
