An American film, radio, and television actor of Russian Jewish descent, born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He earned a BA in Drama and studied Spanish at the University of Michigan. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and did a lot of voice work in both animation and television commercials. He married teacher Louisa Tassler (1965-2011), they had a child, and she remained with him until he died. Among his notable works are: F Troop (1965-1967), The Adventures of Kit Carson (1951-1960), and Zorro (1957-1959). He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on June 19, 2011, from heart failure, at age 90.
