An American actress, born in the Bronx, New York. She graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1979, the year she played a role in the school's production of Dark of the Moon. She was voted class president during her final year. She received theater training at the Juilliard School and began her career in theater in New York. Her credits include The American Dream, Hello Herman, Love & Basketball, and How to Go Out on a Date in Queens.
