An American actress and musician, born in Texas, USA. Her father is the conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of Corpus Christi. When she was four years old, her family relocated to Portland, Oregon. She majored in music while attending the Juilliard School in New York. She performed as a soloist with both the Western Washington Symphony and the Oregon Symphony. She starred in VR.5 (1995) and received a Golden Globe for her role in Short Cuts (1993).
